UtahFM.org returns with live programming

UtahFM.org returns with live programming, new studio.

Utah Free Media is a volunteer powerd community radio station which broadcasts exclusively on the internet, with a goal of providing live programming from 6am until midnight Mountain time (-7h GMT) Monday through Friday. Utah Free Media is an alternative media outlet, which is open to the community for the purpose of providing an entertainment alternative, and a voice that may otherwise be drowned out or silenced elsewhere.

With the help of a few of our remaining staff, we've been able to move into a new studio in South Salt Lake. We thought it was important that we have a physical presence as quickly as possible, and within less than a month we were able to organize, move into and wire up this new location.

On our reopening night, several hosts joined UtahFM's technical director Hector (aka meerkat) on the mic to give listeners a preview of what they can expect to hear in the coming weeks.

While we are in a new location, we are still missing critical equipment and hardware. Most importantly, studio computers. As a result, there may be periods of silence during normal programming times. We are looking for donations of fairly new computers to run our studio software. If you have any computers you can donate, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Our programming calendar is also wide open and available for filling right now! If you would be interested in hosting a show here on UtahFM.org, click on the volunteer link and submit your information.

We're very excited and happy to be back. These next few weeks will be a little rough as we get back into the swing of things, but we will eventually smooth things out again. Thank you to all of our listeners, and our staff who have stuck with us through the last few months.
