Issues and everyday people often ignored by traditional coverage.
Richard Markosian is the editor-in-chief of Utah Stories—a local in-depth news and storytelling website. The site's first story investigated the mistakes on Main Street which resulted in a collapse of local shopping between Broadway and Exchange Place. Last summer, Utah Stories began a pamphlet series on artisans and vendors at the Downtown Salt Lake City Farmers Market. Several of these stories became KJZZ mini-documentaries.
Utah Stories presented by UtahFM prides itself on covering Salt Lake City's other side: the issues, figures and everyday people often left behind by traditional coverage. The show is dedicated to promoting local community. Every week is a new five minute story.
Jon Madsen is the show's Managing Producer. Patrick Commiskey is the Executive Producer. Tawnya Cazier and Manju Varghese are contributing editors.
