Margarita Satini is named Interim Station Manager at UtahFM

On Friday, 17 Feb 2012, Daniel Swenson formally stepped down as Utah Free Media (UtahFM.org) station manager, citing the need to devote more time to his family, and wanting to give the position to someone who would be able to devote more time to the station. UtahFM staff wishes Daniel and his family the best during this time. 

Following an emergency vote this evening, UtahFM management voted in Margarita Satini, also known as RitaLove, into the position of Interim Station Manager, and Margarita accepted the position. She will focus on helping UtahFM get back on it's feet while still being commited to her hosting duties on RitaLove  & The Brothers, Tuesday and Thursday nights on UtahFM. 

The Interim position is named so because we needed someone who was able to fill the duties of the station manager while we continue to rebuild our station following the events of the last year, leading up to the fallout and closure of our last studio. We needed someone who was easily accessable and readily available, and Margarita's name was presented to management. Once we get UtahFM back to a position where we can focus on bringing on a full-time station manager, we will do so, and management may even ask Margarita to continue on as station manager. But for now, management saw the need to bring her on to ensure that we all continue to do everything we can to make UtahFM great once again.
